Below you will find the schedule of upcoming tours and a list of our suggested routes from easiest to most difficult.
MERKYS. Perfect for those who want to embark on their first trip along the rivers of Dzūkija. The wide headwaters of the Dzūkija rivers calmly flow towards the Nemunas. While sailing, you will not encounter many obstacles that would require you to make sudden maneuvers, you will simply enjoy swimming and the beauty of the nature surrounding you. Hiking enthusiasts are attracted to Merkys with its clear, unpolluted water, wooded shores alternating with wild meadows. You can choose routes of various lengths. For the first time, we recommend sailing the Senoji Varėna-Perloja route (about 12 km - 3-4 hours of swimming) or Puvočiai - Merkinė (about 14 km, 4-5 hours of swimming).
ŠALČIA. One of the most impressive rivers in Dzūkija, surrounded by wild meadows and forests. The water of the Šalčia is incredibly clear, easily visible almost everywhere, with a sandy and clean bottom, which is hidden in places by emerald tufts of grass. When swimming along it, you will feel as if you are wandering through a wonderful meadow, where butterflies will constantly be accompanying you. There are many bends at the beginning of the route, each turn offers new and changing views. Occasionally, you may encounter fallen trees or underwater stones, but the obstacles are easily overcome and add positive spice. The length of the route is 13 km, which is about 3-4 hours of swimming down the river. You should plan about 5-6 hours for the entire expedition (with preparation, instructions, and packing up after the hike). This route is perfect for slightly experienced paddlers.
ŪLA. The legendary Dzūkija River, with many bends and overgrown trees. Surprises await at every turn: fallen trees, continental dunes, high sandy cliffs. This river is distinguished by its strong current, abundance of obstacles and bends, so a swim with lots of adventures and beautiful views is guaranteed. This is a river for advanced paddlers or those who are not afraid of swimming. Great fun on a hot summer day. The swim lasts about 3-4 hours.
VERSEKA. An exceptionally winding, fast-flowing river with many obstacles. This is truly an unforgettable adventure on a warm summer day. Swimming on it is definitely not boring, as there are many tree spurs and shallows. Verseka will tempt more experienced tourists who are not afraid of challenges and who seek to spend their time more actively. While swimming, you can enjoy the sparsely populated kingdom of wildlife: don't be surprised if you are accompanied by a gaze of a wild animal that has come to drink. Verseka is convenient to swim for one or two days. Later, the trip can be extended to Merkis. The traditional one-day route is 8 km. However, due to the abundance of obstacles, it will take you about 3-4 hours. This river is intended for more experienced people and those who are not afraid of getting wet, because you definitely won't stay dry.
Tour price: from 40 Eur (the price includes all necessary equipment, transportation from the finish point to the starting point, briefing).
